    Giving Tuesday

There's Black Friday, Buy Local Saturday, and Cyber Monday for shoppers to get deals on gifts for those they love over the holidays. And now, there's #GivingTuesdayâ„¢ - a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It started in New York to celebrate and encourage charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations. In 2015, Northwest Ohio nonprofits are participating, too, including Read for Literacy. And as an added bonus, donations made on Giving Tuesday, December 1, will go toward the opportunity for Read for Literacy to obtain a matching grant of up to $1000 from Toledo Community Foundation. Check back on December 1 for details about giving or call 419-242-7323.
