    Thank you to everyone who came out for our race on July 19. It was HOT but we kept cool with all our supporters. Congratulations to the following for their outstanding performances! Overall Male Winner: Luke Holubeck 16:33; Overall Female Winner: Trinity Fowler 20:54; Master Male Winner: Steve Hart 18:27; Master Female Winner: Jenny Vartanian 21:44. Now, we will enjoy the rest of our summer and plan for the fall. We hope to see you at a volunteer training soon! Or just stop by our office in the Main Library and say hi!

    Join Us This Summer and Read!

    We have your favorite hour of the week waiting for you this summer! Volunteer to read to children and share your love of books with others. Volunteer an hour a week or more! Children who are encouraged to read over the summer are better able to maintain skills they learned at school for the coming year. Share your time and make a difference.     Strengthen Reading Skills

    More than 1,150 participants are engaged in learning; from reading books to learning life skills for the workplace, our student needs are met through individualized goals.

  • Creating Young Readers

    Change the Life of a Child

    Our programs excite a love of learning through reading in preschools, elementary schools and other community settings to increase early literacy skills in children aged three years through second grade.

  • English Language Learners

    Learn English

    Affords speakers of other languages the opportunity to improve their English language speaking, reading and writing skills. Additionally, Read for Literacy volunteers assist students in preparing for completion of their US Citizenship test.
